Arianna sighed as she looked around. Nothing but desert. Why had she decided to come to this state to begin with? Ever since she had gone into Nevada, she had found nothing more than sand, rocks, fake grass, and more zombies than she had bargained for. She had been on the run since she entered the state and was bloody sick of it. There was no particular time she could be out and about to get supplies. They were swarming the place. It seemed that the nuclear plants in Nevada had taken a toll on the people too.
Looking around, there really wasn't anything in sight. Nevada was just too...boring. The openness of the state was too dangerous and Arianna knew she had to get out of there. It was so easy to be spotted in such an open place. The zombies that roamed around weren't as dull as they were in other states. She hated it. Of course, it was easy to just shoot a bunch of zombies, but she knew it would get harder when there was hoard of them and she did not want to deal with any of it. It was too much to deal with. She just needed to get a few supplies and leave.
In the middle of nowhere was a tower. Arianna raised her eyebrow curiously. What was a tower doing there? It didn't make any sense to her. Her curiosity getting the best of her, she decided to check it out. She walked towards the tower with her hand at her side so she'd be able to pull her gun out if she needed it. She couldn't get too close because as soon as she did, a bullet landed near her. "Hey! It's okay! I'm one of you!" she yelled. She at least knew it wasn't a crazy zombie tower.
Before she took another step, another bullet grazed her leg. "What the-" she cut herself off before backing away as fast as she could with an injured leg. The pained that erupted from her leg was immense, but she couldn't stop. She had to get away. The person in the tower meant business and she didn't want to die after she'd survived five years. She wasn't going to die by getting shot by a real person either. It would have been pathetic if she did. Granted, getting killed by a zombie wasn't honorable either, but at least she would have died by the enemy.
When she couldn't walk any further and knew she was far away from the tower, she plopped down on the side of the road. Arianna grabbed her canteen and took a swig of her whiskey before ripping a bit of her shirt and trying to tend to her own wound. "Bloody freakin' people. Can't even determine zombie from real person. What kind of idiot can't tell?" she muttered to herself. She sighed irritatedly, hoping that someone would find her before another one of those things did.

Candice decided to stay with Steve for a couple days, since he was willing to take her to California..it was a much better idea than walking although she would get to kill more often. But she needed to rest sometimes, she had been working herself to hard these days, and soon it would catch up with her and she knew it.
She walked out of the tower just as she heard another gun shot. She shook her head with a small chuckle before taking her walk for the day. She figured it was a way for her to get out for awhile and maybe even kill a few punks who happened to walk in her path. What a dirty business this was, she would definitely have to find something to take up her time, it seemed all she did was kill and murder these lifeless creatures. ‘Filthy beings’…she muttered.
Just as she continued walking she saw someone in the distance, backing up sitting on the side of the rode. She figured it was probably one of the Zombie freaks Steve shot..but she wanted to check it out anyways, maybe it still had some life in it, that she could take away. She chuckled once more…she never thought if it was a bad thing that the sight of death was something that she loved to watch. She caused it most of the time, but she didn’t mind..
She walked further ahead, until the distant figure took shape of a dark haired girl. She scanned her over a moment, realizing it wasn’t a zombie like she thought it was. She even questioned if this was the same thing she had her eyes set on a few minutes ago. She scanned her a moment taking in the gash in her leg…god damn it…she thought once she realized what had happened. Steve must have shot her.
“How bad are you hurt?” Where the first words that came to her mind..”Sorry bout that, I think my friend thought you were one of them…” She looked up noticing a whole group of Zombies heading there way. She pulled out her gun and ran up to the girl quickly. “If you want me to help you, take my arm, otherwise I am taking off.” She spoke holding her hand out to the girl before pointing her gun at a few of the suckers heads blowing off a few shots.

As she grumbled to herself, she failed to notice the shape of a shadow approaching her from the direction of the tower. She panted heavily and tried to wrap the piece of her shirt around her wound. She grabbed her canteen and took another swig of her whiskey. "Cheers," she muttered just before taking her drink. She then poured some of it on the wound and hissed from the sting.
“How bad are you hurt?” She made a grab for her gun and looked up. Arianna sighed and lowered her weapon. It seemed that a sensible human being was in her presence. Finally. Is it so damn hard to find decent help nowadays? Relief washed through Arianna's body. Her worries of those things finding her before a real person had passed. She could only hope that she was in good hands; otherwise, she'd be in big trouble. "Well, I've been shot in the leg," replied Arianna bitterly; "I'm as badly hurt as anyone that's been shot in the leg. You should try it sometime. It's loads of fun." Her voice was dripping in sarcasm, but in Arianna's defense, she had a reason to be. It was clear how hurt she was. It was in plain sight. She just needed to get the hell out of where she was now.
.”Sorry bout that, I think my friend thought you were one of them…” Arianna rolled her eyes. So she hung out in the tower with whoever shot her. Perfect. She'd get this girl to show her inside and give the person who shot her a piece of her mind and maybe show them the end of her gun. She didn't know if she could trust this girl, but she really didn't have much of a choice. They were out in the middle of nowhere and she was the first sight of a real human Ari had seen since she ventured out. She was really her only hope and looking out into the distance, she didn't have much time to decide. A group of zombies was making its way toward the both of them. Arianna cursed under breath and reached out for her gun.
“If you want me to help you, take my arm, otherwise I am taking off.” Arianna stared at her hand for a moment. She's your only chance, you idiot. Just take it. She looked at the girl and decided to grab her hand. Ari pulled herself up and adjusted herself so she could maneuver right. "I'm Arianna by the way, but you can call me Ari," she said just before she pointed her gun and started to help her shoot some of them. "Just take me to where ever you're going. I'll help you with them. I'll try and get as many as them as possible, but we need to get out of here now."

"Well, I've been shot in the leg," Candice took at look at the wound on her leg, she only hoped Steve had something she could bandage it up with. "I'm as badly hurt as anyone that's been shot in the leg. You should try it sometime. It's loads of fun." She chuckled a bit all while shaking her head. She had been shot a couple times...but it had been awhile. From her memories, that she could pick out her head, it was never a good time for her. She understood what the girl was saying about her leg, all though she added her sarcasm too...but it was understandable.
She had no idea who this women was, but she knew she had to help her. There weren't many humans left and the ones that were...needed to stay alive. Once this is all over, if it ever gets to that point, it will be up to them to repopulate the place. She wasn't sure if she was ever going to the get the chance to have children, now that all this had erupted. But she hoped for them one day. She looked over the small hills, bloody bastards...
She held out her arm to the girl as she began shooting off her gun, this girl needed to hurry up and make a decision or else she was heading back without her. She gave the women a small smile once she grabbed her hand pulled her up. Candice wrapped her arm around the girls body supporting her as she stood. 'I'm Arianna by the way, but you can call me Ari," She spoke shooting her gun as well. "Just take me to where ever you're going. I'll help you with them. I'll try and get as many as them as possible, but we need to get out of here now."
"I'm Candice, Candice Elaina-Marie Costiveya, Nice to meet you Ari." She shot off her gun once again. "Okay...I will take you back to the tower..maybe I can get something to wrap that wound for you." She spoke as she began backing up, shooting off her gun once again.
Her gun clicked empty after she shot off her last shot. "Shit..." She murmured reaching to her belt and pulling off more bullets filling her gun as she continued to support Ari while backing away more. She sighed after she filled her gun popping it back into place before aiming it once again, shooting off a few. More of them were coming, and she knew she had to get out of there. "Fuck this.." She said popping her gun back into the holster. "Keep shooting." She spoke before lifting Arianna off the ground holding her before she began sprinting off. The tower was getting closer, and she never thought she would feel so grateful.
